Quite some time ago, we got together in a Dutch town with a vision to make the world safer. Frustrated that current methods used to get rid of landmines were not good enough, we embarked on an ambitious project. Meanwhile, we learned that R&D doesn’t happen overnight, that problems can pop out of every corner, and that it’s easier to break something than to make it work. Yes, we’ve been working for several years on our Mine Kafon Drone System, but 2019 was the year when we finally wrapped up the major R&D side of the project. We have successfully demonstrated our solution to various parties, and participated in numerous events, lectures and exhibitions, where we networked with NGOs, governmental organisations and industry leaders. The final couple of months found us continuously testing the beta versions of our drones, optimising them and making all necessary improvements. As it came and went away, the dawn of a new decade found us incredibly proud of our hard work, and found our workshop shelves stacked with working models of our MK drones.

Of course, 2020 comes with its share of challenges. We are well aware that having a finished product is only half the job done, so we are determined to finally take the long step from an R&D phase to a go-to-market phase. Mine Kafon has been in touch with many clients all around the world, and we are looking forward to closing a number of deals in the upcoming months. We are very excited about this, and as of now we vouch to regularly offer updates about our activity, developments and milestones. If you haven’t checked our social media channels recently, perhaps you should take a look. Our new blog will also offer constant insights about what Mine Kafon is up to, and how it seeks to break the status quo and strive for innovative solutions powered by disruptive thinking. And it’s not all limited to demining… but more on that for another time.
Speaking of updates, we strived to start 2020 with a marketing boost, and as a result, we are proud to present you our reworked Mine Kafon website. It now features up-to-date information about our products, our vision for the upcoming decade, and what we hope is an easier process of getting in touch with us about purchasing and using our products.
