Role description:

Thanks to MKD and other projects Our company is growing fast and we are seeking an enthusiastic full-time electronics and controls engineer to design, build, and test electronics and robotics systems for our UAVs and ground support equipment.  The ideal candidate would have experience with electronics design and debug, industrial control and robotics, and some embedded coding experience.

You will be working with a young, enthusiastic, and creative research and development team consisting of technology experts, cross-disciplinary engineers, product engineers, external developers and industry partners. Tasks and responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience with 3D parametric CAD software, preferably Fusion 360

    Role description:

    Thanks to MKD and other projects, our company is growing fast and we are looking for a skilled software developer. We currently have two big Software Projects that need to be developed in parallel.

    One is the development of flightcontroller firmware. The software basis for this is the PX4 flight stack, running on pixhawk hardware. For this you will need to be familiar with C/C++ and embedded development. Your main responsibilities will be to integrate robot control and feedback systems as well as general customization of the software to our specific needs.

    The second one is the ground station software with which the drones are controlled. Currently we are using QGroundControl for this, which is developed with the QT-Framework. Your job will be to customize the user interface to add controls and visualizations for the robots as well as adding/expanding additional functionality. Later we would like to be able to run the control software on all available platforms (phones, tablets, PCs), which should be possible with QTs cross-compilation features.

    As these are rather big projects, we’ll probably have at least two people working together on this. Achieve project success by proactively communicating risks, known issues, and changelogs.

Role description:

Thanks to MKD and other projects our company is growing fast and we are seeking an enthusiastic full-time electronics / robotics / mechatronics or control engineer to design, build, and test electronic and robotic systems for our UAVs and ground support equipment.

Primary responsibilities will include developing embedded software and avionics hardware for small flying robotic aircraft and assistive robotic solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in building systems from conception to prototype.

Your tasks

  • The ideal candidate would be responsible for the electronics design and debugging of application specific robotic solutions.
  • Embedded programming and testing is a necessary part.
  • Design, build and test electronic and robotic solutions to conform with the company’s UAV projects.
  • You will be enrolled in a variety of roles as required and an energetic role within the engineering team.

You must have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master degree in electrical or computer engineering with 1-3 years of experience within embedded systems development.

Key skills

Knowledge of C/C++ and OOP programming experience in a Linux environment.

  • Pixhawk, APM and/or drone systems experience.
  • Experience in the MAVlink protocol & common embedded communication buses such as I2C, CAN, Serial and SPI is adequate. Long range communications knowledge such as GPS or other is highly desired.
  • Embedded systems such as Raspberry Pi and Arduino frameworks.
  • Knowledge of building applications with Cmake and the GNU toolchain. ROS would be a plus.
  • Experience with PCB Design, schematic capture and layout, analog and digital electronics components.
  • Recent (last 12 months) demonstrated ability to develop (i.e. model or write) product, research or university project software.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a workshop environment is a plus.
  • Candidates with UAV aircraft, robotics development experience or hobby drone experience will be given special consideration.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and curating the balance sheets, income statements, financial planning and other financial aspects;
  • Taking care of bookkeeping, planning budgets and keeping track of expenses;
  • Analysing and defining financial business requirements and key success criteria.

Skills:

  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and spreadsheets in general;
